Wild bird fruit hoop or string for garden birds - Family Activity at Glastonbury Abbey on Tuesday, 22 February at 11:00.
This is a messy fun session creating fruit strings and fruit hoops for the garden birds.
You will be using hemp string, floral wire and a selection of fruit pieces, vegetable cubes and raisins.
Using the hemp string, tie a knot in one end and thread different pieces of pre-cut fruit and vegetables onto the string, then tie a loop at the top and you are ready to hang the fruit string in your garden.
You can also create a fruit hoop using a length of floral wire, simply thread on a selection of pre-cut fruit, vegetables and raisins, bend the wire into a hoop shape and twist the ends together to seal the shape. Tie on some hemp string and you are ready to hang up the hoop in your garden for the wild birds to enjoy.
This event costs £2.50 per child payable at the Glastonbury Abbey Admissions desk and takes place in the marquee in the abbey grounds between 11am-1pm.
This is a family activity so all children must be accompanied by an adult throughout the session. Normal admission applies.
