Wild bird apple feeder - Family Activity at Glastonbury Abbey on Thursday, 24 February at 11:00.

This is a messy fun session making an apple feeder for the garden birds. You will be using an apple, windfall sticks from the grounds, sunflower seeds and hemp string.

After choosing your cored apple, the sticks are inserted through the bottom of the apple to form a natural perch. Then push in a selection of sunflower seeds all over the apple, thread a piece of hemp string through the middle, tie a loop at the top and you are ready to hang the apple feeder in your garden for the wild birds to enjoy.

This activity costs £2.50 per child payable at the Glastonbury Abbey Admissions desk and takes place in the marquee in the grounds between 11am-1pm.

This is a family activity so all children must be accompanied by an adult throughout the session.
