A talk and tour by Mike Sumbler, Bristol Water.
Location :Chew Stoke Pumping Station, BS40 8SS.
Discover how the formation of the Bristol Waterworks Company in 1846 provided Mendip water and how modern engineering today depends on its hydrogeology to sustain the regions water supplies.
This talk is aimed at adults.
Please access the pumping station from the chew stoke side (Wallycourt Rd) and not the Salt and Malt (Denny Lane) side of the chew valley lake dam.
