Puddle Ducks teach children, from birth to 10 years, to swim independently, beautifully and confidently, and to love and respect the water. Classes are packed full of fun - watch as your little one develops into a confident swimmer without even realising they are learning to swim! We teach life-saving skills, so that should your child ever need them, they have a bank of invaluable skills that could save their life. We recognise that every child is different; our expert teachers individually tailor activities to suit your child’s ability and confidence levels. We often see children achieving their 10m award before they start school.

 Baby & Preschool Lessons | For ages 0-4 years

Our Baby & Preschool lessons provide a wonderful bonding opportunity for grown ups and their little ones. We have excellent teacher-baby ratios which means we can offer truly individually-tailored swimming lessons, letting children learn with others of the same age, all at their own pace.  Babies can join our fantastic classes as soon as parents are ready to get in the water after giving birth. Lessons are taught in specially selected pools and classes incorporate rhyme and movement. 

 Swim Academy | For ages 4+ years

Swimming is a journey, not a destination and here at Swim Academy, we learn and have fun all the way! Our 'beginners' level, Level 1 is often the first time that children enter the pool without their parent and our whole focus is on water confidence, basic water safety and the foundation skills for independent swimming. Teachers remain and teach from in the water throughout Level 1 and Level 2 and the teacher-child ratio is 4:1.

Swim at The Lakeside Pool in EvercreechThis brand new, purpose-built swimming pool in Evercreech, is nestled in the countryside surrounding Shepton Mallet and with stunning views across the adjacent lake. Our unique child-led classes are available from newborn through to primary-age. With our Baby & Pre-school classes available on Fridays and Sundays and our Swim Academy (4-10y) programme offered on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
