Throughout the Easter holidays, there are plenty of events to keep families busy at The Bishop’s Palace: crafting, outdoor gardening, family trails, storytelling and more.

And most of their activities are included with admission (unless indicated).

Family Dragon Trail (8th – 24th April) – Explore the gardens of The Bishop’s Palace and hunt for dragons from around the world with our Family Dragon Trail! Follow in the footsteps of Bishop Jocelin, who built the Palace over 800 months ago and slayed the legendary Dinder Worm!

Wildflower Seedbomb Crafting (12th & 19th April).  Spring has sprung here at the Bishop’s Palace in Wells. Come and join us in our Community Garden, with our Family Wildflower Seedbomb Crafting Sessions! A perfect half-term activity for kids, capturing their imagination and creativity!

Easter Storytelling - A Spring in The Tail (14th & 21st April) – Family fun, spring stories and colouring, at The Bishop’s Palace, Wells with storyteller Beth Webb. Times: 11am & 1.30pm

Easter Weekend Trail (15th – 18th April) – We are so egg-cited to welcome you to The Bishop’s Palace gardens for our annual Easter Weekend Trail. Egg-splorers welcome! Trails can be collected from the ticket office on arrival and there will be a small prize at the end.

Falconry Day (18th April) – Come along and enjoy seeing amazing birds with skills that have been used since medieval times! Display leader, Tony, will be bringing a selection of his finest falcons and owls to show off their marvellous moves in front of visitors on the South Lawn.
