Avon and Somerset Search and Rescue are the local search and rescue team. They are a charity and staffed entirely by volunteers.

They are on call 24/7 to assist the police in the search for high risk vulnerable missing people.

They also provide specialist rescue services to those injured in the outdoors, including water and flood rescue support throughout Avon and Somerset in the event of flooding emergencies.

They are entirely funded through donations and have found many events cancelled which would normally provide funds to keep fuel in the ambulance and help them pay essential equipment upkeep costs.
