Welcome to Open Studios 2021!

Venue Maps are available in the region's cultural centres and Open Studios information is live on the SAW website, with an interactive Venue Map and PDF to download for audiences to start planning their visits. The brand new Somerset Open Studios 2021 App is also available to download, for both iPhone and Android.

After a challenging 18 months for all, we look forward to a busy event. Participating artists and venues are in the final stages of getting ready to welcome you and will value your support as we all get out and about visiting artists in their studios again!

5 Ways to Plan your Visit

This year, we are giving Open Studios visitors 5 different ways to access information about the event to help plan visits. Information will be appearing in print and online in the following ways:

Google Map

A Google Map and full Venue Listings is now on the Open Studios page on the SAW website.

Printed Map + Venue Listings and Roadsigns

15,000 copies of a special fold out Map + Venue Listings have been distributed to galleries, museums and cultural centres across Somerset and beyond. There are additional roadsigns this year to help visitors find venues more easily- 2,000 roadsigns will appear across the county just before the event starts.

Somerset Open Studios App

New for this year is a special Somerset Open Studios App which visitors can use to plan their visits. It shows full venue details and information about SAW Members taking part in the event. You can also create a visit list and get sat nav directions to take you straight to the studio door! Scan the QR code on the website or map to download the App, or search for 'Somerset Open Studios'.

Evolver Magazine

The Sept/Oct edition of Evolver Magazine features a special Open Studios supplement with a centre spread of the Open Studios map and venue listings, selected editorial and images- it's available in cultural centres and locations across the Wessex Region.

Visit Somerset

In another first for the event, full venue details will appear on the Visit Somerset website. This is a major new initiative between SAW and Visit Somerset, helping guide audiences towards Open Studios venues. Open Studios will be promoted along with the best experiences that the county has to offer for visitors to plan things to do and find places to stay as they discover Somerset!

Look out for editorial too in regional publications including Somerset Life, What's on Somerset, The Mendip Times, Blackmore Vale Magazine, Exmoor Magazine, LAMP and The Conduit, amongst others.
