Charterhouse or Velvet Bottom – Telly Tubby Land

We love Charterhouse, such amazing scenery full of lumps and bumps, it makes an excellent playground – we have termed it Telletubby Land!

There is a free car park at Blackmoor reserve where you can do an easy circular walk through woods, heathlands and old lead mining grounds.

In the woods there is an area where you can build dens which keeps the children amused – it’s no so amusing when you have to judge the best den! There are benches half way round to stop for a drink or a picnic. The pictures show a visit we made in Autumn time, there really is no better place to play than in the woods in Autumn!
