Well if truth be known, none of us really know what we will be able to do this Christmas so we are aiming to let you know of the planned events and activities in your area. We will keep our hands poised over the mouse to update this information as necessary!

Christmas Lights

Although there could not be an official Christmas light switch on this year you can still enjoy the beautiful lights and spectacular tree that takes pride place in the Market Place.

Christmas Panto

Christmas Panto but not as you know it. This year at Bath Showground you can enjoy the spectacular Horrible Christmas Panto from the comfort of your own car.

On Tuesday 22nd December pay a visit to the Bath showground is see what happens when Christmas comes under threat from a jolly man in red and it’s up to a young boy to save the day. To find out more or to book you ticket click here

A visit to Father Christmas

Father Christmas will be making a trip to Kilver Court for one weekend only on the 12th and 13th of December! His festive grotto will be tucked away in the beautiful 19th century gardens. All children will be lead down a festive path by real ponies to meet Santa. Although they will not be able to make physical contact with Santa they can pet and stroke the ponies all they want as well as receive a gift from Santa himself! Book your tickets HERE.

If that wasn’t enough festive fun you can also visit the Great House Christmas room to discover a spectacular range of Christmas gifts to purchase, so you can finally finish or start your Christmas shopping.

Pick your Own Christmas Tree

Have you got your Christmas tree yet? Well don’t worry if not you have plenty of time. Why not take a trip to the Mendip Christmas Tree Farm where you can pick your very own, it doesn’t get better than picking your own tree!

Christmas Trails

Palette & Pasture have created a festive Christmas Trail the whole family will enjoy, no matter the weather.

Running on the 5th and 6th December the team at Palette & Pasture have created an all-weather walking Christmas trail with animals and Christmas scenes along the way. On your way round you and your little ones can enjoy a range of Christmas activities such as making reindeer food and writing a letter to Santa.

Just a short drive away is Farrington Farm shop who this year are running their fantastic Elf Hunt in a new and safe way.

The popular elf hunt will be running on the 12th,13th, and 19th December where your little ones will enter the Elf Academy where they will learn how to be a real elf! Following their time at the elf academy you can enjoy a trail around the farm to find all the naughty elf’s and even receive a certificate and elf of your own!

Christmas shopping in Shepton Mallet

Well Christmas shopping this year is being done with a difference! The large majority of it is being done online and there is a big movement to #shoplocal

However, Kilver Court will have a fantastic range of Christmas Gifts to discover in the Great House so you can finally finish or start your Christmas shopping after your visit to Father Christmas.

On Thursday 17th December you can enjoy late night shopping at Shepton Mallet. Be sure to wrap up warm and show your support to all the local business that are staying open until 7pm this Christmas.
